Competitive Granting

The Community Foundation offers several types of competitive granting.  These initiatives are funded through unrestricted funds at the Community Foundation, collaborative funding from regional partners, and designated funds established by donors to support particular areas of focus.

Dance & Movement Grant Initiative

Through the Dance & Movement Grant Initiative funded by the Marina Svetlova Fund for Dance, the Foundation seeks to provide support for community-based, non-profit programs and organizations that promote the art of dance in various forms. Priority programs will be those that support ballet or contemporary dance as well as those that provide dance or movement opportunities, especially for youth, seniors, or disabled persons. Given our focus on the long-term success of Monroe County, the Community Impact Funding Initiative supports programs or projects that offer the potential for lasting change.
